Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your Arusha hotel. Your expert guide drives you through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands, passing Maasai communities and sweeping crater views. A hot picnic lunch is served en route before you descend into the world-famous Serengeti National Park.

In the afternoon, your first game drive sweeps across the Serengeti plains. Lions bask in the golden light, cheetahs scan the horizon, and enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra stretch to the horizon. Arrive at Tanzania Bush Camps for a warm welcome, freshening up and a sundowner before a delicious evening meal under African stars.

Rise early for a dawn game drive through Serengeti — predators are most active in the cooler morning hours. Watch lions and leopards return from nocturnal hunts, elephants moving between waterholes, and giraffes grazing gracefully from acacia treetops.

After a packed picnic lunch, drive 135 km east to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you ascend to the crater rim, the landscape transforms into misty highland forest. Ngorongoro Kuhama Camp sits on the rim with breathtaking views across the caldera — enjoy dinner with the vast crater below you.

Wake before sunrise for a spectacular view of the crater floor bathed in golden light. After breakfast, your guide descends more than 600 metres into the crater for a full morning of exceptional wildlife encounters.

The Ngorongoro Crater hosts around 30,000 animals in a 260 sq km caldera — including all of the Big Five. The rare black rhino is most reliably spotted here. Watch enormous bull elephants, prides of lions, spotted hyenas and flamingo flocks on Lake Magadi. After a hot picnic lunch on the crater floor, you ascend and drive 185 km back to Arusha, arriving late afternoon.
