Overnight: Stay in a comfortable hotel in Moshi to rest and acclimatize before your adventure.

Arrival: Arrive in Moshi, Tanzania, where you’ll meet your guide and the rest of your team. After a detailed briefing, we’ll check your gear to ensure you're fully prepared for the climb.

Distance: 10 km / 6.2 miles

Elevation Gain: 1,000m

Duration: 5-6 hours

Highlights: The trek begins at Umbwe Gate, where you’ll quickly enter the rainforest zone. The dense foliage and diverse wildlife offer an immersive experience. The first day’s trek is tough due to the steep ascent, setting the tone for a challenging yet rewarding climb.

Overnight: Umbwe Camp (camping with full support).

Distance: 6 km / 3.7 miles

Elevation Gain: 1,110m

Duration: 6-7 hours

Highlights: Today, you’ll continue through the moorland zone, where the landscape begins to open up. You’ll reach the Barranco Wall, which provides a short but thrilling scramble to the top. From here, enjoy panoramic views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding peaks.

Overnight: Barranco Camp (camping with full support).

Distance: 5 km / 3 miles

Elevation Gain: 400m

Duration: 4-5 hours

Highlights: After breakfast, tackle the famous Barranco Wall, a steep but exhilarating section of the trek. Once you’ve completed the scramble, you’ll enjoy scenic views and a gradual ascent to Karanga Camp, where you’ll rest and continue acclimatization.

Overnight: Karanga Camp (camping with full support).

Distance: 4 km / 2.5 miles

Elevation Gain: 565m

Duration: 4-5 hours

Highlights: The trek today takes you through the alpine desert zone, where the landscape becomes barren and rocky. As you approach Barafu Camp, the final stop before the summit attempt, the temperature begins to drop, and the air becomes thinner.

Overnight: Barafu Camp (camping with full support).

Distance: 18 km / 11 miles (round trip)

Elevation Gain: 1,295m (summit)

Duration: 12-14 hours

Highlights: Your summit day begins in the early morning (around midnight). The trek is long and strenuous, but upon reaching Uhuru Peak, the feeling of standing on top of Africa is unparalleled. After taking in the spectacular views, you’ll begin your descent to Mweka Camp for rest and recovery.

Overnight: Mweka Camp (camping with full support).

Distance: 10 km / 6.2 miles

Elevation Loss: 1,500m

Duration: 3-4 hours

Highlights: The final descent takes you through lush rainforest and back to Mweka Gate, marking the end of your trek. After receiving your summit certificate, we’ll transfer you back to Moshi for a celebration of your accomplishment.

Overnight: Return to Moshi for relaxation and celebration.
