Serengeti National Park Faq's

Serengeti National Park is renowned for the Great Migration, where over two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains. It’s also famous for its rich biodiversity and the presence of the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros.

The best time to visit depends on what you want to see. The Great Migration typically occurs from June to October. For general wildlife viewing, December to March is also excellent, as animals are more concentrated around water sources.

You can reach Serengeti National Park via a flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport, followed by a domestic flight to one of the park’s airstrips or a drive from Arusha.

Popular activities include game drives, hot air balloon safaris, guided walking tours, and cultural visits to Maasai villages. Bird watching and photography are also popular due to the park’s diverse wildlife and landscapes.

Yes, Serengeti National Park is generally safe for tourists. However, it’s important to follow the guidance of your safari guides and lodge staff, especially regarding wildlife encounters and park regulations.

Pack light, breathable clothing in neutral colors, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, a camera, and insect repellent. Also, bring warm layers for early morning and evening game drives.
